What this site collects

The pages are plain HTML and CSS. There is no account, no shopping cart, and no newsletter form. You can read the site without giving a name.

If you send email, the message contains whatever you chose to write, including your address. That mail is read so the note can be answered. It is not sold and it is not added to an advertising list.

The host that serves these files may keep ordinary connection logs, such as an address and the page requested, the way a web server usually does. This site does not run its own analytics script.

Amazon Associates cookies

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. The gauge guides are written for the Amazon Associates program. Product slots on those pages are placeholders today. They are marked, and they do not go to Amazon.

When a placeholder is later replaced with a real product link, a click leaves this site for Amazon. Amazon and its affiliates may set a cookie on your browser so a later qualifying purchase can be tied back to this site. That cookie is Amazon's, not a cookie this site writes. A commission on a qualifying purchase does not raise the price you pay Amazon, and it is not a reason this site prefers one instrument.

Until those links are real, following a placeholder stays on this page and does not set an Amazon cookie.

Other sites

The course button goes to boomerledgerco.com. The video buttons go to YouTube. This site does not embed a YouTube player, so YouTube does not load when you only read the video page. Once you follow a link, that other site has its own policy and its own cookies.

Fonts

Headings use Oswald, a font file stored with this site. The page does not ask a third-party font service to load it.

Children

The site is written for adults who work around welds and coatings. It is not directed at children.
